New Year, New Us?

I wonder what your single strongest feeling starting 2021 is... No doubt it will be different for everyone and I think we would be hard-pressed to find anyone without some level of internal conflict thinking about what the next 12 months might hold. All of us by now have accepted that the world has changed and won't revert back to the old 'normals' for a long time, and some things will never be as they once were. Despair, however, is detrimental to creativity, productivity & enjoyability. We can't let despair take hold for long because it will limit us in all the negative ways imaginable. Of course, there is a time to mourn losses but I'm determined not to let it become a hindrance to all the potential & possibilities that lay ahead.

Mid 2020, we started throwing the question around "Are You Ready to Dream Again?" and we found synergy with so many businesses and organisations who were doing just that. They weren't just reacting to the pandemic and all the other upside-down things that were happening around the world, they were willingly (and with excitement) adapting to the new challenges & opportunities they were facing. We've updated our portfolio to show you some of what that looked like but what we learnt in the process is that with collaboration, despite isolation, amazing outcomes can be accomplished.

We are so grateful that people are still dreaming, still pressing forward, staying creative and facing their challenges in ways that look for the opportunities instead of seeing the negatives. I wonder if it's possible to cultivate that "Ready to Dream Again" feeling into our strongest resolve at the start of this year? We don't know exactly what's coming but we sure are up for the adventure.
